I wish I could describe the feelings I felt on the plane and arriving to Copenhagen, but the best I can do is I feel like I have been having an out-of-body experience since first arriving at MSP. So many new adventures have already happened and I'm not even 24 hours from the start. Starting simply I have never flown out of MSP so I was quite lost, Alex and I parked and I had no idea we would have to take the tram just to get to my terminal. I also had never flown by myself before and the last time I flew was 6 years ago and I barely remember sitting on the plane. After saying goodbye to alex and passing through TSA, I ran into this super nice old man who honestly helped me more than he thought. It was such a simple thing, but all he did was talk to me about my trip and what I was doing and it calmed my nerves and helped me realize that this was all going to be okay. He also boosted my mood which helped me make a friend on my flight to Amsterdam. I realized that just basic airport small talk made my mood about 100x better so I brought that courtesy onto the person sitting next to me on the flight. Funny enough they were headed to Copenhagen with a layover in Amsterdam to. We ended up chit chatting now and again the whole flight which definitely helped during an 8.5 hour flight. I also got to see the northern lights for the first time on this plane ride. We were flying over Greenland and Alex was sweet enough to send me a text to let me know that they were quite bright and I ended up peering out my window to the views below (which these pictures do not do it justice).

We eventually arrived in Copenhagen around 12:15 and made it to my apartment by 2:00 pm. I will add plenty of pictures to show a little bit of the apartment and how excited I am to finally be in Copenhagen in my next most. My roommate, unfortunately had a flight delay and wasn't able to make it in until around 6:00. She is super awesome and incredible and I am sure there will be plenty of pictures of the two of us on a later post. I was able to get a small tour of the neighborhood and what my apartment building has to offer and I can't wait to make this place my home for the next four months!
